WHAT ARE GRINDHOUSE FILMS??? Grindhouse films generally refer to the low-budget horror and action films on the 1960's to the early 1980's, They characteristically contain large amounts of sex, violence or bizarre subject matter.

Today, the Grindhouse Era (which was replaced by direct to VHS flicks) are becoming nostalgic favorites amongst cinephiles, evident by sold out festivals dedicated to these films and filmmakers in Los Angeles and New York.
